Mission Statement

The Lake Erie AISES Professional chapter mission is "To substantially increase the representation of American Indian and Alaskan Natives in engineering, science and other related technology disciplines in the Lake Erie region and greater community."

The American Indian Science & Engineering Society (AISES) is a national, non-profit organization that nurtures the building of community by bridging science and technology with traditional Native values. Our chapters ultimate goal is to be a catalyst for the advancement of American Indians and Alaska Natives as they seek to become self-reliant and self-determined members of society.

AISES is an organization that serves all Native people, and directly impacts those in the medical, nursing, IT, science and engineering fields. We support and encourage American Indian and Alaska Native youth in pursuing higher education and provide a support network for those currently in school.
